The biggest change is that I married Mr. H. April 27th, 2007. He's been the best addition in my life and with lots of practice in the 1st 6 months in how to be married...again, I think I'm getting the hang of it now. I dearly love him and have grown to appreciate him in more ways that I can express on this page. You can immediately tell there's a man in the house just by the fact that I have I have beautiful christmas lights this year in the front of the house = ) YEH! That's a first = )

Between Jim and I we have a grand total of 6 children (the greater amt. being on Jim's side). They are all good kids and all so different from each other. Ben (25) is the oldest and will be married this February to Kristen, and along with Kristen comes Ethan (1.5 year old adorable little guy). Rachel (24) is next and is working at starbucks and going to school. Jacob (22) is next in line and will be moving to Oregon to go to cooking school. Then there's Jeremy (20) that has been at school in Arizona for now a year. Seems impossible that he's actually been gone that long. He's doing very, very well. I miss him very much! David (18)is next and is a senior in highschool and going to CBC in the jumpstart program. Katherine (17) is next to the last and is currently and junior in highschool. Last...but not the least...is Caleb (14 wks) our german shepherd puppy. He has added so much life to our home...and keeps us running (literally) that I'm thinking...he's a blessing in more ways than him just being so darn cute. He's teething now which means that everything is fare game to chew on...including Jim and I. I've gone on a hunt for unique chewies and, let me tell you...there are chewies out there that....well....you just shouldn't chew on, but none-the-less, he's gotta' chew on something.

Caleb loads up every morning and goes to work with me. I feel as if I have a toddler all over again. I load up his sheep blankey, his chewies, his doggy treats. Goodness gracious! It was a bit overwhelming the first coupld of weeks...but then we got into a routine and then Christmas came and...well...there when the routine. But we're getting back into it again...and one thing I've found out is that I think....he's smarter than I am...gotta watch this little guy! All-in-all he......is such a gift!

So, that's it! Life is good...and getting better everyday! Happy 2008 to you all! God Bless!

God has been very good. I don't know how to put it any different. Even though between us, Jim lost his mama last February 6th and I lost a dear friend, we have been blessed beyond belief. We miss her so very much but know exactly where she's at and that we will both see her again.

I believe, with all my heart, that 2008 is going to be an amazing year. 2007 was...well...to say the least...very difficult in many ways, but God...was so good through it all. I look forward to sharing this year in such a different way. Jim and I will be joining our church in a prayer and fasting time. I look forward to it very much knowing that so much good will come out of it.

It's 1:05 A.M. and these...are my thoughts!

My name is...well...sonshiner! I'm a working mama and I ADORE my two boys Jacob and Jeremy. They’re my life's work and joy. I've painfully watched them make the transition from boys...to men...and in my heart...I'm just so thrilled they're both still in one piece. It's been a struggle, for sure, but they're doing well and I feel I've done well in keeping them alive to tell the great stories they've gathered along the way.

I dragged these boys across Europe for the sake of risking the possibility of seeing and experiencing things that just might change their lives...forever...for the better, and they (and I) have a few wild stories to tell about that six month journey. But that's... for another blog posting!

I am 44 and soon will be living completely alone for the first time since I was a young woman. It's an interesting season right now. Many things are coming to an end...which seems to be bringing about new-beginnings. I have a premeditated concern at this time that I just might... in a weak moment... get a puppy. I don’t... want a puppy.

In January my youngest son goes off to college in AZ. My oldest is already on his own, engaged to a beautiful young woman named Carri (I wonder if she knows her name means melody/song? She is a wonderful addition to our family already!). They're both going to a local college as well. I have a new life ahead of me but feel a tinge of pain in saying goodbye to the only life I've known for so long...motherhood. I've loved my profession as a mom 1st! But never-the-less...here I am! The song in my heart for them forever will be..."I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my babies you'll be." Yes, if you must know...I am crying!!!

This is all for now...I will write more about my family, my life and my thoughts...at another time.

Love you muches, Sonshiner
